Electronic key reader - stainless steel

Thanks to the full integration of this solution into the Loxone configuration software, it is possible to take full advantage of all features. You can define individual rights or assign actions to attach individual chips. For example, you can open the door at night + dim the light slightly + play your favourite music on the veranda. There are no limits to imagination.

iButton can also be used for fleet security, for example. Purpose: Only designated persons may use the relevant vehicles. Access to the garage is possible only by attaching the electric key to the reader. The e-key (iButton) is held on the reader by a magnet.

It is a 1-Wire based solution. In order to use the iButton, you must have a 1-Wire Extension.

Usage:

As soon as the electronic key (iButton) is attached to the electronic key reader (iButton reader), a signal is sent. After attaching the magnetic e-key, it will stick to the reader. The e-key reader connects to the 1-Wire Extension.

Installation

The e-key reader can be easily mounted on the wall or put in a box. The reader is suitable for boxes with 20mm diameter and 5mm depth.

The e-key reader is waterproof and thanks to the high quality stainless steel it can be operated for a long time in all outdoor environments and in extreme weather conditions.

Make sure you install the reader in a place protected from rain

Wiring

The e-key reader connects to the 1-Wire Extension. White wire = data, grey wire = GND. The yellow wire is the common GND for both LEDs. The green wire is for the green LED, the red wire for the red LED. Both LEDs can operate with 24 V DC, no additional resistor is needed - it is integrated directly in the product.

Only one e-key reader can be connected per 1-Wire Extension! If you used multiple readers on a single 1-Wire Extension, it would be impossible to distinguish between them.
