PLA filaments have a wide range of applications in 3D printing - it is the most used material due to its ease of printing. It is suitable for beginners. Other properties include easy shaping, hardness, does not deform during printing, does not transmit odours, smells or oxygen. It has low shrinkage. It is hypoallergenic.
Disadvantages: fragility, reactivity to sunlight (easily degraded).
Biopolymer PLA is a polylactic acid made from sugar extracted from biological materials, most commonly corn. Feedstock certification according to EN 13432 (compostability in industrial facilities).
Recommendation:Always keep the product in the packaging provided when not printing to prevent unwanted moisture from entering. PLA material is hygroscopic. More
