Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is the maximum A1 print size?

A: 256*256*256mm3. Further details can be found here.

2.What filaments can the A1 print?

Answer. Low temperature filaments such as PLA, PETG, TPU, and support materials for PLA and PETG (support for PLA, PVA, HIPS, etc.).
2. Conventional high temperature filaments such as ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PA-CF/GF, PET-CF/GF, PPA-CF/GF, etc.

Reminder:

The standard nozzle is made of stainless steel. When printing filaments containing hard particles (CF, GF, etc.) such as PLA-CF/GF, PLA Glow-in-the-dark, PETG-CF/GF and PAHT-CF/GF, it is necessary to replace the nozzle with a hardened steel nozzle to prevent excessive wear.
Due to the open construction of the A1 frame and the lower temperature in the chamber, there is a risk of reduced interlayer strength and increased deformation in large size and high density models when using common high temperature filaments such as ABS, ASA, PC, PA, PA-CF/GF, PET-CF/GF, PPA-CF/GF etc. on the A1 machine. However, these high-temperature filaments can be used on the A1 to print small models with low fill densities. Print results may vary depending on the dry and wet state of the filaments, the properties of the model itself, the printing parameters and the ambient temperature. Further details can be found here.

3.Is it okay to close the A1 printer?

A: We do not recommend closing the A1 model.

4.Can multiple AMS lite units be used with the A1 printer for up to 16 colour prints?

A: The A1 can only support one AMS lite unit, which means it can print a maximum of 4 colours.

5.Can I use the AMS unit with the A1 printer?

A: No, AMS is not compatible with the A1 printer. If you want to print multi-colour using A1, you must use AMS lite.

6. Can AMS lite be mounted on the A1 printer beam to reduce space consumption? If so, how should I proceed with the surgery?

A: Please visit our MakerWorld website where you will find model supports, installation instructions and links to purchase screws for accessories. In addition, you can also check out our wiki page for more related information.
